Carmel Doonfeeney, formerly of Ballybeg, Kilfian, passed away peacefully at her home in Ballycastle on Thursday, March 5th, surrounded by family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Martin, her parents, sister Angela, and brother Paddy.
Carmel is survived by her sons Patrick and Kevin, daughters Joan, Evelyn, Rosaleen and Sinead; daughters-in-law Monica and Samantha, sons-in-law Mairtín, Tommy, Martin and Colin; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters Ann, Breda, Mary and Evelyn; and brothers Noel and John, as well as relatives, neighbors, and friends.
Reposing will take place at Lynn’s Funeral Home, Killala on Saturday from 5pm to 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be held on Sunday at 11:30 in St Bridgid’s Church, Ballycastle, followed by burial in Ballycastle cemetery. The house will be private.
The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the Ballycastle Facebook page.
