Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin led a statewide Delimitation Bill protest in Namakkal on Thursday, April 16, 2026, where he publicly burnt a copy of the legislation.
The demonstration coincides with the proposed amendment on delimitation, which was scheduled to be tabled in Parliament on the same day.
Stalin Denounces ‘Black Law’
During the protest, Stalin characterized the Bill as a “conspiracy and a black law.”
The Chief Minister further urged the public to express their opposition by hoisting black flags in every home and public space on Thursday.
