The Corner Store Sets Sights on Las Vegas, Bringing New York Vibe to the Strip
Las Vegas is poised to welcome a taste of New York’s hottest dining scene this fall with the arrival of The Corner Store, the acclaimed restaurant from Eugene Remm, Tilman Fertitta, and Catch Hospitality Group. The expansion to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas promises to replicate the energy and menu that have captivated diners in SoHo, offering a familiar yet elevated experience in the heart of the Strip.
A New York Sensation Heads West
The Corner Store, initially launched in New York City, quickly gained notoriety for its effortlessly cool atmosphere and a menu that blends classic American comfort food with a touch of playful sophistication. The restaurant’s success hinges on its ability to evoke a sense of nostalgia while delivering high-quality ingredients and impeccable service. Remm emphasizes that the Las Vegas location isn’t simply a replica, but a faithful extension of the original concept.
“It’s the exact same thing, and that was the intent from the beginning,” Remm explained. “I want to bring the New York experience to Vegas. Yes, it’s double the seats, but the kitchen is three times the size. I’ve got three bars instead of a tiny little bar. Yes, it’ll do more volume, but I don’t have to fight with guests to go down these tiny little stairs in SoHo to get the dishwasher pit to work. So I do not have any doubt that, at 150 seats, we’ll be able to keep the integrity of the food quality, the martini quality and everything that we do.”
The Las Vegas outpost will boast 150 seats, double the capacity of the original SoHo location. However, Remm assures patrons that the expanded space will not compromise the intimate and energetic vibe that defines The Corner Store. The menu will remain largely unchanged, featuring signature dishes like caviar-topped lobster rolls, five-cheese pizza rolls, a decadent wagyu French dip, steak frites, and, of course, perfectly chilled martinis. The design, helmed by Rockwell Group, will mirror the stylish aesthetic of the New York flagship.
The Corner Store’s commitment to “classic approachable American cuisine” sets it apart in a culinary landscape often dominated by fusion and experimental concepts. It’s a deliberate choice, Remm says, to offer a familiar and comforting experience. “It’s familiar. It’s nostalgic. It’s playful. It’s definitely not fusion. There are nods to fast-casual and freezer-aisle food, but everything is made from scratch at The Corner Store.”
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas was selected as the ideal location for The Corner Store, aligning with the hotel’s reputation for offering unique and high-end dining experiences. Remm believes the venue provides the perfect “epicenter” for the restaurant’s brand of casual luxury.
The arrival of The Corner Store will fill the space currently occupied by Blue Ribbon American Grill & Oyster Bar, which will close on February 16th. This expansion represents a strengthening of the partnership between Remm and MGM Resorts, which has successfully operated Catch at Aria since 2018.
“It’s about trust and having people as partners that are going to be able to execute the vision that you create,” Remm stated. “MGM has done a wonderful job in being the shepherd of the Catch brand. They want to be the best. They have a competitive nature that I like. They want to win.”

Vegas Dining Scene Heats Up
The Corner Store joins a rapidly evolving Las Vegas dining scene, alongside recent additions like Carbone Riviera at Bellagio and Gymkhana at Aria. The city is witnessing a surge in high-profile restaurant openings, including the anticipated arrival of Zero Bond and Sartiano’s at Wynn, alongside established favorites like Cote at the Venetian. This influx of culinary talent is transforming Las Vegas into a premier dining destination.
Remm believes this trend reflects a broader shift towards “lifestyle dining,” where the overall experience – ambiance, service, and social buzz – is as important as the food itself. “I think everyone is embracing that lifestyle dining and creating experiences are the most important things in the culinary side of any casino,” he said. “You’ve got to create spaces that make people excited and also create spaces that are, in my opinion, from somewhere else and hard to get into. Everyone wants to touch what they see on social media. I think Las Vegas was built for that.”
What impact will The Corner Store have on the already competitive Las Vegas dining landscape? And will the restaurant be able to maintain the same level of quality and intimacy as its New York counterpart with a larger seating capacity?
