Drones sighted along India-Pakistan border in J&K’s Poonch, Samba

Pakistani drones were observed flying along the Indo-Pak border in the Jammu and Kashmir districts of Poonch and Samba on Thursday night, prompting Indian security forces to activate their anti-unmanned aerial system countermeasures.

Drone Activity Along the Border

The drones were spotted hovering along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch and the Ramgarh sector of Samba district, according to sources.

A drone was observed near posts along the LoC in Poonch, triggering the implementation of anti-UAS measures by security personnel. Another drone was sighted along the International Border in the Ramgarh sector, sources added.

Troops remain on high alert along the border with Pakistan.

On Tuesday night, Army personnel fired upon multiple suspected Pakistani drones that had crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district.
