According to Volcano Discovery advisories issued across the first week of March, eruptive pulses have regularly pushed ash clouds to flight levels FL060 and FL070. On March 3, monitoring showed ash moving toward the northeast at 7,000 feet (2,100 meters). Subsequent observations tracked similar altitudes, with an advisory noting ash extending northeast at 7,000 feet (2,100 meters) on March 6.
Wind Patterns Drive Plumes East and Northeast
Data compiled by Volcano Discovery recorded an eastward drift reaching 6,000 feet (1,800 meters) on March 8. By March 9, the pattern shifted slightly while maintaining altitude, with advisories documenting observation at 7,000 feet (2,100 meters) moving east.
