Egyptians begin voting in the 2024 presidential elections »

The voting process in the 2024 presidential elections will begin today, Sunday, after the end of the electoral silence period and the cessation of electoral propaganda for candidates in the presidential elections, which is scheduled to begin today, according to the timetable for presidential election procedures.

The 2024 presidential elections will be held in Egypt according to the schedule set by the National Elections Authority on December 10, 11, and 12, with voting starting from nine in the morning until nine in the evening. December 13 has been set for the end of the counting process and sending the records to the general committees.
The National Elections Authority determined the number of sub-polling committees before which citizens will cast their votes, which number 11,631 committees inside 9,376 electoral centers, including schools, youth centers, and health units.

15,000 judges from various judicial authorities and bodies supervise the presidential elections within the country, between the heads of subcommittees or conservation committees, and approximately 67 million voters have the right to cast their votes in the presidential elections, as updating the voter database was closed on September 25, 2023. After the National Elections Authority invited voters to vote and announced the timetable for presidential election procedures.

The Authority will form a central operations room to follow up on Egyptians at home casting their votes in electoral centers in the 2024 presidential elections, similar to the Authority’s operations room for elections abroad, headed by Ahmed Bandary, Director of the Authority’s Executive Branch.
