Choa Chu Kang Condominium Fire
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to a fire at Block 52 Choa Chu Kang North 6, identified as Yew Mei Green condominium, at approximately 4:50 a.m.
The fire was contained to the contents of a bedroom on the third floor and extinguished using a water jet and compressed air foam trolley, according to SCDF.
Authorities believe the fire originated from an electrical fault within the affected bedroom.
Two people were assessed for smoke inhalation at the scene but declined hospital treatment. As a precaution, SCDF and the police evacuated about 150 residents from the block.
