Govt decides not to increase Petrol, Diesel prices for next week – RADIO PAKISTAN

Pakistan’s government has decided to maintain current prices for petrol and diesel for the next week, despite global economic pressures. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif rejected proposals for a price increase, according to reports.

Petrol and Diesel Prices Remain Steady

The decision comes after a review of petroleum product pricing, with the government citing sufficient supplies for April and beyond. Kerosene prices were, however, increased to Rs433.40 per litre.

A monitoring committee indicated that Pakistan is managing its fuel supply effectively despite the ongoing global crisis. Minister stated that Pakistan is in a better position than other countries in managing fuel supply despite the war situation.

The Prime Minister’s intervention prevented an increase in petrol and diesel prices, ensuring stability for consumers. The country currently has adequate petroleum product reserves.
