/ The Iraqi handball team lost the last chance to qualify for the World Cup, on Sunday, after losing in the decisive match against Kuwait with a score of 32-20 goals.
The Iraqi national team faced its Kuwaiti counterpart at three o’clock this afternoon in its last match in the main round of the 21st Asian Handball Championship, which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Iraqi team had to achieve victory today and nothing else, and then wait for the winner of Bahrain’s match with South Korea. Bahrain’s victory also qualifies Iraq, as a draw or loss by Bahrain will throw the Iraqi team out of the nomination circle.
