Riga experienced significant traffic jams in Riga during the first half of Friday, with several street sections taking five or more minutes longer than usual to traverse.
According to data from BalticMaps, the most severe congestion was observed in the direction of Vidzeme. Drivers faced particular delays when attempting to turn from the Vidzeme Highway onto the Tallinn Highway.

Traffic jams also formed on Zolitūdes Street, specifically in the section from Rostokas Street to Jūrmala Gatve.
Additional delays were reported on Lubānas Street from Meirānu Street to Sakharova Street, and on Ziepniekkalna Street between Jānis Čakste Boulevard and Bauskas Street.
