Emergency services responded to a stabbing incident in Emu Plains, New South Wales, on Tuesday evening, resulting in one death. A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being held at Penrith police station.
Stabbing in Emu Plains Results in Fatality
Police were called to Clouta Place at 6:45 p.m. local time. Videos circulating on social media depicted a significant emergency response, including over a dozen police cars, ambulances, and the police helicopter.
Officers discovered a man in his 50s suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Paramedics from NSW Ambulance treated the man at the scene, but he died from his injuries.
A crime scene has been established, and investigations are ongoing.
