Man to be charged after allegedly scratching police vehicle in Redhill Close

A 53-year-old man will be charged on April 6 after allegedly scratching a police vehicle in Singapore.

Redhill Close Vandalism Incident

Police were alerted to a case of vandalism at Block 83 Redhill Close on April 2 at approximately 7:40 p.m. A member of the public reported that a man had allegedly scratched a parked police vehicle with an object before leaving the scene.

Authorities established the man’s identity and arrested him on April 4. Investigations revealed the man used his key to scratch the doors of the police vehicle.

Those convicted of vandalism in Singapore could face a fine of up to $2,000, imprisonment for up to three years, and between three and eight strokes of the cane.

Police stated they have zero tolerance for acts of vandalism and will take action against those who disregard the law.
