Israel is at a “strategic juncture” in its campaign against Iran, according to Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff. Zamir made the assessment during a situation assessment held today with the General Staff Forum, stating significant accomplishments have been achieved thus far.
IDF Campaign Against Iran
Zamir stated that the IDF will “continue to act with determination and deepen the damage to the regime.” He indicated the operation is progressing towards its stated goals.
War Against Hezbollah
Regarding the conflict with Hezbollah, Zamir said the IDF will “continue to stabilize a forward defense zone in Lebanon to prevent direct fire toward our communities.” This effort aims to protect Israeli communities from attacks.
Zamir also noted that IDF operations continue in Gaza, Syria, and Judea and Samaria.
