A Perth service station attendant suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle during a petrol drive-off on Monday. The incident occurred as the attendant attempted to stop a dark-coloured sedan from leaving a Vibe service station without paying.
Petrol Drive-Off Leaves Attendant Injured
Police responded to the Vibe service station on Forrest Road in Armadale around 1pm after reports of the incident. According to a police spokesperson, the vehicle was attempting to leave when the attendant intervened and was subsequently hit.
The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by paramedics.
The driver of the sedan remains at large. Police are requesting anyone with information regarding a dark-coloured sedan displaying damage to the windscreen and bonnet to contact Crime Stoppers.
