Islamabad Mosque Bombing: Death Toll Rises

The death toll from the attack has reached 38, with numerous individuals injured, hospital officials have confirmed. The bombing targeted a Shi’ite mosque in the capital city.

Authorities have arrested four individuals suspected of facilitating the Islamabad bombing, as victims were laid to rest. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the network involved in the attack.

The Islamic State group (ISKP) has claimed responsibility for the bombing. Analysts suggest that these attacks may indicate a period of desperation for the group, exposing underlying weaknesses.

Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar announced compensation for the families of those killed and injured in the attack. Details of the compensation package were not immediately available.
