Razer, the global lifestyle brand for gamers, has announced in its Fiscal Year 2025 Sustainability Report that it has achieved 78% of its value chain decarbonization commitments under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This milestone comes significantly ahead of the company’s original 2030 deadline. The company’s latest disclosures highlight a broad range of environmental initiatives, spanning from internal software optimization to supply chain partnerships and retail recycling programs.
Emissions Reductions and Software Efficiency
A primary driver of Razer’s recent environmental progress is a 6.1% reduction in value chain (Scope 3) emissions during the 2025 fiscal year compared to the previous year. Technological innovation has also played a role in these reductions. By applying green software principles to its peripheral configuration software, Synapse 4, the company reported a 99.32% reduction in emissions associated with the program. These efforts are part of the broader #GoGreenWithRazer roadmap, a ten-year strategy designed to reduce the environmental impact of the company’s products throughout their life cycles.

Corporate Operations and Infrastructure
Razer has continued to optimize its internal footprint. The company successfully transitioned all of its corporate offices to 100% renewable energy in 2022, reaching that specific target three years earlier than its original 2025 goal. To further its commitment to circularity, Razer implemented new recycling programs across all RazerStores in 2025. These initiatives include in-store e-waste drop-off points and device take-back programs for both peripherals and laptops.
Strategic Partnerships and AI Integration
Razer is expanding its influence beyond its own operations through a partnership with the Asia Pacific Green Alliance (APGA). As the alliance’s lead “Queen Bee,” Razer is tasked with assisting small and medium-sized enterprises in strengthening their sustainability reporting, meeting international environmental disclosure standards, and improving access to green financing.
To support these efforts, Razer plans to deploy agentic AI tools. These tools are intended to simplify data management and sustainability reporting for businesses throughout the company’s supply chain, promoting greater transparency and resilience in a low-carbon economy.
Real progress in climate action stems from long-term partnerships and shared value-chain accountability,
said Kenneth Ng, Global Sustainability Lead at Razer. We are creating an impact that extends far beyond our own operations by collaborating across our ecosystem to improve emissions reporting, build capability, and deploy practical solutions.
Formalized Climate Transition Plan
The company’s current initiatives are guided by its Climate Transition Plan (CTP), which was formalized in 2023. This plan outlines specific long-term environmental targets, including: * A 90% absolute reduction in emissions. * A 55% intensity reduction in value chain emissions. * A broader commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
Industry Recognition
Razer’s sustainability efforts have garnered external validation from several organizations. In 2025, the company was awarded an ‘A’ rating by CDP for environmental leadership and received a Silver Medal from EcoVadis for its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices. Additionally, Fast Company recognized Razer as one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Gaming for 2025. These disclosures arrive as consumer electronics brands face increasing pressure to provide verifiable, third-party-audited figures to substantiate their sustainability claims, rather than relying on broad commitments.
