Real Madrid mourned the death of Brazilian icon Mario Zagallo, today, Saturday, at the age of 92.

Real Madrid said in an official statement: “The club, its president and its board of directors express their deep regret over the death of Mario Jorge Lopo Zagallo, a legend of Brazilian and world football.”
He added, “Real Madrid expresses its condolences and love to his family, his teammates, the clubs he played for and all his loved ones.”
He continued, “Zagalo played for America FC, Flamengo and Botafogo, and became a world champion with the Brazilian national team in 1958 and 1962.”
He continued, “Zagalo has a career as a coach that made him a legend on the bench, as he coached many Brazilian teams and in the Middle East.”
He added, “As a coach for Brazil, he became the world champion in 1970, the Copa America and the Confederations Cup in 1997, and in 1994 he also became the world champion as an assistant to Brazil’s coach at the time, Carlos Alberto Parreira, and thus he became the world champion 4 times. He also led the Saudi national team and won the Asian Cup.” 1984″.
