A German press report revealed today, Wednesday, that Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern Munich midfielder, has begun negotiating with his new club.

Kimmich’s contract with Bayern expires at the end of next season, and he is likely to leave in the summer of 2024.
According to Sky Sport Germany, Kimmich has begun negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain through intermediaries.
The report added that Paris was hoping to finalize the deal this month, but Bayern is clinging to keeping its player until the end of the season, at the very least.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Saint-Germain, refused to comment on the news of his club’s interest in including Kimmich.
He said in a press interview with the French “RMC Sport” network: “He is a Bayern player and has a contract and we respect his club.”
But the truth is that Luis Enrique, the Paris coach, gave his approval to include Kimmich, and the player was approached about the matter.
The report indicated, “Bayern made more than one offer to Kimmich for renewal, but the player refused because he was not convinced of the club’s sporting project.”
Kimmich’s name was linked to moving to Barcelona last summer, to compensate for the departure of Sergio Busquets, but Bayern refused to discuss the idea.
Despite Barcelona’s continued interest, completing the deal will not be easy at all, in light of the club’s financial crisis.
