Gremio striker Luis Suarez succeeded in crowning his distinguished season with his team, by winning a valuable award, after the curtain came down on the Brazilian League season.
The 2023 Brazilian League competitions ended yesterday morning, Thursday, with Palmeiras being crowned champions for the second season in a row.
Gremio Club announced in an official statement that its veteran striker had been crowned the best player in the league for the year 2023.
Gremio published a video clip of Suarez receiving the Ballon d’Or, which he won after receiving the highest percentage of votes.
Luis Suarez ended the season as his team’s top scorer with 17 goals, ranking second on the list of top scorers in the Brazilian League.
Suarez became the fourth player to win the award in Gremio’s history, after Ancheta, Paulo Isidoro and Lucas Leiva in 1973, 1981 and 2006.
