The incidents occurred at residential units along Chuan Drive and Li Hwan Close in Serangoon Gardens, as well as in the vicinity of Sentosa Island, according to police.
Officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division identified and arrested the suspect on Dec. 8, aided by CCTV footage and images from police cameras.
Preliminary investigations indicate the man allegedly broke into homes and stole jewellery while the occupants were away.
Police recovered jewellery, cash exceeding $1,000, four ez-link cards, a cap, and a wig.
The suspect will be charged on Dec. 10 with housebreaking, an offense punishable by up to 10 years in jail and a fine.
Police are reminding the public to take precautions to secure their homes and belongings, particularly during the year-end holiday period. Recommendations include ensuring proper perimeter security, locking doors and windows, installing burglar alarms connected to a monitoring system, installing CCTV cameras, keeping valuables in safes, and using motion-activated lighting.
Residents are also encouraged to participate in community watch schemes such as Neighbours on Watch and Citizens on Patrol.
