The real-time strategy game Broken Arrow has received its first downloadable content (DLC), the Baltic Battalion, adding a new army specialization representing Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The DLC is available now on Steam and is offered for free.
Baltic Battalion Adds New Tactical Options
The Baltic Battalion can be combined with any existing U.S. specialization to create the game’s first coalition battlegroup, expanding tactical options for players. The Baltic States, facing limited air power, field a strong mix of motorized and mechanized troops equipped with European-made vehicles and weapons.
The new specialization brings cutting-edge European weaponry, sophisticated infantry formations, and next-generation vehicles designed for layered defense, mobility, and quick reaction battles. It features 25 vehicles and planes, including 19 original additions and 6 U.S.-made equipment pieces operated by the Baltic States with unique customization options.
Infantry and Strategic Backdrop
Baltic Battalion offers a broad selection of infantry, allowing players to strategically mix Latvian adaptability, Lithuanian firepower, and Estonian technology. The geography of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, bordering Russia, Belarus, and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, serves as the strategic backdrop for the game’s “War in the Baltic” campaign.
Broken Arrow is designed for both newcomers and experienced RTS players, featuring large-scale modern warfare tactics in a single-player campaign and 5v5 multiplayer PvP battles. The game sold nearly 700,000 copies in less than six months.
Developer Steel Balalaika and publisher Slitherine have been actively updating and improving the game based on community feedback. To celebrate the DLC release, the base game is currently discounted by 15% on Steam.
