The delegation of our national football team will leave tomorrow, Tuesday, heading to Abu Dhabi, UAE, to enter a training camp in preparation for the 2023 Asian Nations Cup in Qatar.
The media coordinator for our national team, Muhammad Imad, told the (INA): “The team’s delegation will head tomorrow from Baghdad airport to Abu Dhabi to hold a gathering and enter a camp that will last until the eleventh of this month of January.”
Imad added that our national team will play only one test match against South Korea in the Emirate of Dubai on the sixth of this month, in accordance with the desire of coach Casas, who justified the idea of playing a second friendly match by saying that it would make him lose three days of training and he urgently needs to do more tactical exercises to implement the method. “And the method of play that he will follow with the other teams, and the match will be without the presence of fans.”
National team coach Jesus Casas selected a list of 26 players to participate in the Asian Championship finals in Qatar 2024. The lineup consisted of “Jalal Hassan, Fahad Talib, and Ahmed Basil” for goalkeeping, and the defense, “Zaid Tahseen, Saad Nateq, France Dia, Rebin Sulaqa, Ali Adnan, Mirjas Dosky, Ahmed Yahya, and Hussein.” Ali, Alan Mohieddin, and the midfield “Ibrahim Bayesh, Zidane Iqbal, Ahmed Ali, Osama Rashid, Amir Al-Amari, Amjad Atwan, Ali Jassim, Bashar Rassan, Youssef Al-Amin, Danilo Saeed, Muntazar Majed,” and for the attack, “Ali Al-Hammadi, Ayman Hussein, and Muhannad Ali.”
