A motorcyclist was hospitalized Jan. 31 following a collision with two cars on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE), causing a traffic jam.
Motorcycle Accident Causes PIE Congestion
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force responded to the incident on the PIE towards Tuas, before the Whitley Road exit, at 3:55 p.m.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) reported at 4 p.m. that the accident resulted in congestion extending to the Central Expressway (CTE), advising motorists to avoid three lanes.
The 29-year-old motorcyclist was conscious when transported to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
A video shared on Facebook showed paramedics attending to the man lying on the road. Two cars, two LTA traffic marshal motorcycles, and an ambulance were visible in the footage.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
