Two men die after four-vehicle road crash in Co Tipperary

Two men died in a multi-vehicle collision in County Tipperary, Ireland, on Saturday evening. The incident, involving four vehicles, occurred on a local road near Thurles shortly before 6 p.m.

Tipperary Road Collision Claims Two Lives

The two men, aged in their early 20s and late teens, were occupants of one of the cars involved and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two women, both in their 20s and traveling in a separate vehicle, were transported by ambulance to Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Emergency responders assessed six additional individuals at the scene, but they did not require hospitalization.

Authorities have closed the road to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the site. Local diversions are currently in place.

The local coroner has been notified, and post-mortem examinations are being arranged. A family liaison officer has been assigned to support the families affected by the tragedy.

Gardaí are appealing to the public for information regarding the collision, particularly from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and have dash-cam or other camera footage.
