Unexpected Stops Along the Way
Due to flight costs, the traveler began her journey in Tallinn, Estonia, describing the city as a “fairytale” with cobblestone streets and historic buildings. She then visited Lithuania, where she sampled šaltibarščiai, a cold beet soup.
Latvia: A Surprising Favorite
Riga, the capital of Latvia, proved to be a pleasant surprise. The city offers a variety of attractions, including spas, vegetarian-friendly cuisine, and local food tours. The traveler particularly enjoyed sklandrausis, a traditional rye pastry, and sampled Riga Black Balsam, a unique liqueur. Riga also boasts numerous parks and a UNESCO World Heritage-protected old town, offering a picturesque backdrop for activities like pub crawls.
The traveler spent three days in Riga and recommends even a one-day visit. She expressed a desire to return, noting that Latvia was not previously on her travel radar. The experience demonstrated the benefits of using a random country generator to overcome travel decision paralysis.
