President Donald Trump has indicated that US-Iran talks could restart within the next two days.
Trump stated that discussions are currently “happening, but, you know, a little bit slow,” while suggesting that further talks could potentially take place in Europe.
Potential Diplomacy in Islamabad
The president specifically advised that reporters should remain in Islamabad, noting that the U.S. is “more inclined to go there” because “something could be happening over the next two days.”
Trump attributed the preference for the location to the efforts of Pakistan Field Marshal Gen Asim Munir, whom the president said is “doing a great job.”
Trump has previously described Gen Asim Munir as his “favourite.”
