US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is on a new tour in the Middle East, stressed during his stop in Greece the need to avoid the expansion of the conflict in Gaza, especially on the border between the Zionist entity and Lebanon.
“We must ensure that the conflict does not expand,” he said after his meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Chania, during a quick visit he made to the island of Crete after Istanbul, where he held a lengthy meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He added, “One of the real fears is the border between Israel and Lebanon, and we want to do everything possible to ensure that the situation does not escalate.”
After this short stop on the island of Crete, Blinken will head to Jordan and then to the Zionist entity, the occupied West Bank and other countries in the region to discuss ways to avoid the expansion of the conflict in the region three months after the start of the war between the Zionists and the Palestinians.
