Attack on Titan 3 Launches Worldwide on December 10, 2026

Attack on Titan 3 will launch worldwide on December 10, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force confirmed the release date alongside pre-order editions, early-access details, and a compilation covering the entire story.

Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have locked in a December 10 release date for Attack on Titan 3 across major gaming platforms. The title brings the popular action series back after more than eight years away, positioning itself as one of the final major releases of a crowded fall 2026 release calendar.

Platforms, Pricing, and Pre-Order Editions for Attack on Titan 3

The game will arrive simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on December 10, 2026. Physical and digital pre-orders feature multiple tiers, though digital pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version start at a later date.

The Standard Edition carries a price tag of $69.99, £54.99, €69.99, or ¥9,680. Fans opting for physical platforms can also secure a SteelBook Launch Edition featuring ICONART and a reversible print. Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition runs $89.99, £69.99, €89.99, or ¥12,980, packing the base game alongside a digital official art book, a character customization pack, an original equipment pack, a starter item pack, and a 72-hour early access key that is excluded from the Switch 2 version.

Early purchasers of physical copies during the first production run, as well as digital buyers who purchase the game by December 23, 2026, will receive the Character Customization: Wings of Freedom Hoodie bonus. Additionally, digital pre-orders include the Character Customization: Wings of Freedom Earrings item.

Adapting the Complete Story and Evolving ODM Action

For the first time in video game form, Attack on Titan 3 covers the entire narrative arc of the source material from beginning to end, including its controversial ending. Players take on the role of a member of the Scout Regiment—as a customizable original character—rather than stepping into the boots of Eren, Mikasa, or Armin.

Developer Omega Force has overhauled the core mechanics. The omni-directional mobility gear action features heightened freedom of movement, while opposing Titans exhibit smarter, deadlier, and more unpredictable behavior. A new casual control mode ensures players less confident in action games can pull off veteran maneuvers.

Special Exterior Missions and Save Data Bonuses

A fresh gameplay addition titled Special Exterior Missions tasks players with leading squads on life-or-death operations outside the walls. Squad leaders must decide whether to press the offensive or retreat against overwhelming titan threats.

Fans who retain save data from Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle on the same console will unlock special in-game bonuses.

Strategic Placement Away from Late-Year Blockbusters

By securing a Dec. 10 release date, Koei Tecmo sidesteps the intense autumn release window dominated by Grand Theft Auto 6 in late November. The title instead shares a busy December slate with other Japanese-developed titles, closing out the video game calendar for 2026.
