Today, Sunday, the Najaf International Airport Directorate arrested a foreign passenger carrying an amount exceeding the permissible limit at Najaf International Airport.
A statement by the Border Ports Authority, received by the (INA), stated that “The Najaf International Airport Port Directorate, in cooperation with the Customs Center and the Customs Police, was able to arrest a foreign traveler who was found in possession of an amount of money exceeding the permissible limit according to the instructions of the Central Bank.”
She added, “The total amount amounted to (60) thousand US dollars, which she did not declare and was concealing in a professional manner,” indicating that “a committee was formed, a proper arrest report was organized, and the accused was referred to the Najaf Airport Police Station Directorate to take appropriate legal measures against her.”
