Shoppers can now purchase the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air for $1,099 at Amazon, saving $200 off its regular price of $1,299 as early holiday promotions roll out ahead of Black Friday. Mashable reported that this configuration includes 16GB of Unified Memory and a 512GB solid-state drive, matching the discount seen during October Prime Day.
Beyond the Air lineup, deeper price cuts have surfaced across professional models as retailers clear inventory following a June price hike on MacBooks and the recent launch of newer hardware. AppleInsider noted that Amazon dropped the 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro with a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16GB of unified memory, and 1TB of storage to a record-low $1,349.99 in Space Black, saving buyers $649.01. Macworld observed that units quickly sold out at Amazon, prompting buyers to look to alternative vendors like Costco for remaining stock.
Discounted Laptops Offer Powerful Performance for Creative Professionals
The discounted hardware carries significant processing power for everyday users and creative professionals alike. Timothy Beck Werth wrote in a 4.6/5 review for Mashable that the 13-inch laptop features a premium design, great speakers, a bright and sharp display, and the user-friendly macOS 26 Tahoe
while noting that it might be too powerful for its own good
and offers fantastic performance for the value.
For heavier creative tasks, Imaging Resource highlighted that the 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M5 Pro chip features a high-performance processor, a Liquid Retina XDR display, and up to 22 hours of video streaming battery life. Macworld added that the M5 generation provides a 1TB drive with read and write speeds up to twice as fast as the M4 model, alongside Wi-Fi 7, HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, and an SDXC card slot.
Heads up: Amazon has just sliced $200 off nearly every M5 MacBook Air — 13-inch and 15-inch models, every storage tier, most colors. Prices start at about $1,100 for the 13-inch 512GB and $1,300 for the same in 15-inch. These are some of the lowest prices we’ve seen since the… pic.twitter.com/hEgUNiXqli
