Police are conducting an investigation after a suspect fled a scene on foot and a firearm was recovered following a worrying incident.
Authorities stated the suspect initially attempted to leave the scene in a vehicle but was forced to flee on foot after colliding with parked cars. Police confirmed that those involved in the incident were known to each other.

Acting Det Insp Sophie Dawkins described the event as a “worrying incident” that likely caused significant concern in the community, particularly while officers were searching for the suspect.
Dawkins noted that while the police investigation is in its early stages, authorities are not looking for any other individuals in connection with the case.

Residents can expect an enhanced police presence in the area over the coming days. Dawkins encouraged anyone with concerns to speak with officers patrolling the neighborhood.
