The wage structure for commerce employees incorporates fixed sums into the basic salary and redefines agreement additionals, according to Infobae. Commerce Employees Receive Salary Updates and New Scales for July 2026
Since the beginning of the month, all concepts previously paid as non-remunerative sums through June now form part of the basic salary, raising the general salary floor. This measure stems from a collective bargaining agreement between the Argentine Federation of Commerce and Services (FAECYS) and employer entities, which agreed on a 5% cumulative quarterly increase.
The seniority additional equals 1% extra for each year worked and applies to all remunerative concepts and recently incorporated fixed sums. Presentism calculation bases are also higher starting this month. Initial categories across administrative personnel, cashiers, assistants, vendors, and maintenance staff (maestranza) now exceed 1.2 million pesos as a basic remunerative base. Part-time or reduced-schedule workers receive these amounts proportionally.
The agreement specifies that these values are not mandatory in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, where local agreements may differ. Negotiating parties continue monitoring the economic situation to review amounts if inflation surpasses expectations.
Transport Agreement Sets New AMBA Bus Driver Scales
The Automotive Tramway Union (La Unión Tranviarios Automotor, or UTA) and passenger transport business chambers reached a wage agreement covering the July–September 2026 quarter, averting potential strikes in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), as reported by baenegocios.com.
The phased wage recomposition includes a 6.5% increase in July, a 2% increase in August, and a 2% increase in September, accumulating to an approximate 10.5% basic wage rise over the quarter. Factoring in improved daily per diems and additional agreements, the total quarterly remuneration increase reaches approximately 14.7%.
Configured basic starting salaries for short- and medium-distance driving personnel are set at $1,645,721.35 for July, $1,676,990.06 for August, and $1,707,175.88 for September. In July, an initial driver receives a basic salary of $1,645,721.35 plus $480,000 in viatics, alongside an agreed non-remunerative extraordinary bonus of $170,000 for driving personnel. Daily per diems are updated to $20,000 in July, $21,000 in August, and $22,000 in September.
ANSES Applies 2.15% Increase to Family Allowances and Single Payment Allowances
Family Allowances distributed monthly by the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) feature a 2.15% readjustment for July 2026, aligning with May’s inflation rate of 2.1% calculated with two decimal places, according to La Nación.
Family Allowances for children target dependent employees, risk-work law beneficiaries, monotributistas, temporary and rural workers, and pension system titleholders. Payments occur between the second and third week of each month based on DNI terminal digits and working days. Benefit amounts depend on family group income (IGF), provided individual earnings do not exceed established monthly caps.
Simultaneously, Single Payment Allowances (APU)—covering birth, adoption, and marriage—are administered by ANSES for dependent employees, ART beneficiaries, unemployment payment recipients, retirees, and pensioners, as detailed by Ámbito. Following the 2.15% July update, family group income cannot exceed a $6,069,688 overall ceiling.
