Oliver O’Reilly of Wicklow Town and formerly Cavan has died peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital, surrounded by family. He passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and will be remembered by a wide circle of family and friends.
Oliver O’Reilly: Funeral Arrangements
O’Reilly is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (née O’Neill), and his daughters, Teresa, Niomi, and Tracy. He was a beloved grandad to Dean, Thomas, Hannah, Daniel, Níamh, Leah, and Ciarán, and a great grandad to Marnie-Mae.
He is also survived by his brothers Norbert and Jim, sister Vivienne, and extended family. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Donal, and siblings Noel, Vincent, Brendan, Sean and Maud.
Oliver will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town from 5pm until 7pm on Friday. The funeral will arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town on Saturday morning for funeral Mass at 10am, followed by a private cremation.
The family has requested that family flowers only be sent. The house will be private.
Special thanks were expressed to the palliative care team at St Vincent’s University Hospital for the care provided to Oliver.
