/ Hebrew media reported that the war council, led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will be held this evening, Sunday, to discuss the possibility of extending the humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip.

This meeting comes during the third day of the humanitarian truce declared in the Gaza Strip and the prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas, which extends for four days from last Friday until tomorrow, Monday.

Under this agreement, 50 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip will be released, and in return, Israel will release 150 Palestinian women and children from Israeli prisons.

During Friday and Saturday, 26 Israeli prisoners and 18 detainees with foreign nationalities were released from the Gaza Strip, and in return, the Israeli authorities released 78 Palestinian prisoners, women and children, from their prisons.

It is expected that 13 Israeli prisoners will be released today, and in return, 39 Palestinian children detained in Israeli prisons will be released.

On the last day of the truce, Hamas is expected to release 11 Israeli prisoners, bringing the total number of those released to 50 people. During the Israeli War Council meeting, an extension of the truce period will be discussed in exchange for the release of more Israeli prisoners held by Hamas.

The agreement stipulates the release of 3 Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, for every Israeli prisoner. Also, 200 trucks of relief and medical supplies, and 4 trucks of fuel and gas cylinders are brought daily to all areas of the Gaza Strip.
