While official social media accounts and the regional website remained quiet at the time of reporting, the Indian Google Store indicated that pre-orders for the new series will open on August 12.

Google appears to be accelerating its release schedule. The invitation itself sets the tone, officially referencing the night the next generation of Pixel arrives, confirming the four-device lineup.

Tensor G6 and Performance Hardware

The most significant internal change for the Pixel 11 series is the shift to the Tensor G6 processor, codenamed Malibu. This chip represents a major manufacturing milestone for Google, as it is expected to be built on TSMC’s 2nm (N2) process utilizing Gate-All-Around (GAA) transistor technology. As Gogi explained, traditional FinFET designs control electrical current on three sides of a switch, whereas GAA wraps the gate around all four sides. This allows for superior power efficiency—projected to be 15 to 20 percent better than the Tensor G5—and less heat generation during intensive tasks like processing AI features or high-end gaming.

Connectivity issues, which have historically plagued some Pixel models, may also see a resolution. Multiple sources, including Telecomtalk, indicate that Google is moving away from Samsung modems in favor of the MediaTek M90 5G modem, signaling a concerted effort to improve stability.

Pricing and Storage Strategy

Leaked Amazon listings, which were briefly visible before being removed, provided a comprehensive look at the pricing and storage tiers for the US market. The data indicates that Google is eliminating the 128GB storage option entirely. According to Android Authority, the base Pixel 11 will now start with 256GB of storage at $899. This represents a $100 increase over the previous entry-level model, though it comes with double the initial capacity.

The Pro models suggest a more complex RAM strategy. Android Authority noted that while 256GB versions of the Pro and Pro XL are expected to ship with 12GB of RAM, the 512GB and 1TB variants likely retain 16GB. This potential RAM split may be a response to industry-wide memory supply constraints.

Design Refinements and Foldable Updates

Aesthetically, the Pixel 11 series maintains the familiar silhouette of the Pixel 10 but introduces a cleaner, more modern look. Render leaks show thinner screen bezels and a fully blacked-out camera module, replacing the previous two-tone design. Telecomtalk reported that the series will also introduce a new color, Titanium Mocha, with some models potentially utilizing a titanium frame instead of aluminum.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold remains a focal point for the company as it navigates the competitive foldable market. Indiatoday reported that the device will likely feature an 8.1-inch inner screen, made possible by thinner bezels. While the internal specifications for the foldables are high-end—including up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Market Uncertainty and AI Integration

Despite the excitement surrounding the hardware, questions remain regarding how entry-level buyers will access Google’s full suite of AI features.
