James Davenport, Ruskey, Quigley’s Point – Highland Radio

James Davenport, formerly of Ruskey, Quigley’s Point, has died peacefully at the home of his daughter in Lordship, Dundalk. His passing was sudden, and he is remembered by a large family and community.

Mr. Davenport was predeceased by his wife, Pat, and is survived by his children, James, Peter, Liam, Ann Patricia, and Stephen.

He is also remembered as a devoted grandfather to Chloe (RIP), Ana, Lola, Edward, Caitlín, Evan, Emily, Darragh, Méabh, Jamie, and Aaron.

He is deeply regretted by his sisters and brothers, Eddie, Kathleen, Martin, John, Susan, and Sarah, as well as his nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends, and neighbours.

Mr. Davenport’s remains will repose at his home (F93 A2T9) this evening, Thursday, January 8th, from 7:30pm, where those wishing to pay their respects are welcome.

The funeral will take place on Saturday, January 10th, with the remains leaving his home at 10am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Drung, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time will be observed from 12am to 10am.

The family requests family flowers only, with donations in lieu, if desired, to St Vincent de Paul C/O any family member or Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director.
