A fire in Sampaloc, Manila, left ten families homeless early Friday morning, December 26. The blaze, which began around 3:23 a.m., was extinguished by 4 a.m.
Manila Fire Displaces Ten Families
Five houses were destroyed in the fire, which occurred along Bataan corner Mindanao Street, according to Manila Fire District Station 5 Station Commander Senior Ins. Cesar Babante.
Babante stated the fire was contained and did not spread to other structures due to the concrete construction of neighboring buildings. No injuries were reported.
Arson investigators are currently investigating the cause of the fire, with a neglected mosquito coil being considered as a possible source.
The investigation is ongoing.
