Samsung Electronics Indonesia has officially launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 in Jakarta, introducing AI-powered health insights, a dedicated Trail Run mode, and advanced diving tools developed with Mares.
Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Brings AI Health Insights and Snapdragon Wear Elite Performance
Samsung Electronics Indonesia has officially introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, a premium wearable engineered for rugged outdoor exploration and preventative healthcare. Moving beyond basic step counters and heart rate tracking, the new flagship relies on artificial intelligence to transform biometric data into actionable feedback. The device integrates Samsung Health to help users understand their physical readiness, monitor recovery, and manage daily training loads through metrics such as Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index, Vitals, and Heart Health Score.
Tipe Sultan, MX Product Marketing Manager Samsung Electronics Indonesia, stated that outdoor activities not only challenge physical limits but also test how well individuals understand their own bodily conditions, which is why they believe a smartwatch should do more than just record health data, but rather be able to turn that data into insights that help users make more precise decisions during every activity.
Tipe Sultan, MX Product Marketing Manager Samsung Electronics Indonesia, explained that through the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, they bring an AI-based health experience via Samsung Health that helps users understand body readiness, maintain performance, and build healthier lifestyle habits, thereby enabling users to enjoy every outdoor activity with a much higher level of confidence.
Trail Run Mode and Nutrition Alert for Extreme Outdoor Endurance
Designed to support intense athletic pursuits, the smartwatch features a dedicated Trail Run mode tailored for off-road running where changing elevations, uneven terrain, and fluid loss introduce significant physical stress. The interface provides real-time tracking of routes, elevation profiles, estimated travel times, and climbing progress directly from the wrist. To keep athletes safe over long distances, the system includes Nutrition Alert and Sweat Loss trackers that monitor estimated hydration needs based on perspiration.

Under the hood, the hardware receives a substantial upgrade. The device runs on the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, delivering a 32 percent boost in CPU performance and a 19 percent increase in GPU capabilities compared to prior iterations. A massive 800 mAh battery offers roughly 35 percent more capacity than the first-generation Ultra, while an ultra-bright display reaching nit levels ensures legibility under direct sunlight.
Mares Partnership and Certification for Deep-Water Diving
For underwater sports, Samsung partnered with renowned diving equipment brand Mares to engineer a dedicated Diving mode. The watch tracks depth, dive duration, and water temperature in real time. Built for extreme environments, it carries IP69K, 10 ATM, and EN13319 certifications, safely supporting operations down to 40 meters.

Global Strava Integration and Indonesian Pricing Details

Strava now comes pre-installed on globally distributed Galaxy Watch devices, starting with the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2. Every hardware purchase includes a 60-day free trial of Strava premium features. Additionally, Samsung Health will integrate Strava Routes later in the year, allowing users to navigate directly from their wrists.
Strava Chief Executive Officer Michael Martin stated that the Galaxy Watch is increasingly becoming the primary choice for the Strava user community, which is why they want Strava to be present from the moment users begin their active journey so that every activity can be recorded easily.
