EHang anticipates its future air taxi services will cost between 200 to 300 yuan (US$29 to US$44) per ride. Robotaxi services in Guangzhou currently offer rides for around 20 yuan with discounts, compared to 40 to 50 yuan for traditional taxis.

Robotaxi and Air Taxi Costs Compared

A 10km robotaxi ride in Guangzhou can cost approximately 20 yuan with available discounts, while a standard taxi for the same distance ranges from 40 to 50 yuan.

Singaporean Formula 4 racer Kareen Kaur, 15, who tested robotaxis in Shenzhen, described them as “efficient,” noting that a ride arrives within five minutes of booking. “I think if people … are in a rush, they can take it,” she said.

Kareen’s father, Kuldeep Singh, 46, observed the consistent driving speed of the robotaxis. “As humans, right, we’ll just go (up) to 76, 78, 79kmh. You’re worried (about receiving a) summons,” he commented.
