Stena Line completes acquisition of terminal operations in Liepaja

The terminal operations business in Liepaja, Latvia, will be rebranded as Stena Line Ports Liepajas, according to Trade Director for the Baltic Sea North at Stena Line, Liene Lemane.

Stena Line plans to gradually develop and modernize the terminal and its infrastructure to enhance safety, security, and traffic management within the terminal area.

The Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority will concurrently undertake construction to rebuild berth 46 in Liepaja Port. This project is scheduled for completion by December 31, 2027, and is intended to strengthen the port’s overall infrastructure and capacity.

The acquisition is expected to bolster Stena Line’s Baltic Sea network, which currently includes port operations in Ventspils and Karlskrona, and ferry routes connecting Latvia, Sweden, Germany, and Poland.
