Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that China and the United States have tremendous potential and promising prospects for enhancing trade and economic cooperation between them.
This came in a congratulatory telegram sent by Xi Jinping on December 15 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the US-China Business Council.
The Chinese President said in the telegram, the text of which was distributed by China Central Television, that China and the United States have enormous potential, broad space, and promising prospects for enhancing economic and trade cooperation.
President Xi Jinping noted that Chinese-style modernization opens up more opportunities for companies around the world, including American companies.
The Chinese leader also stressed that his country is ready to work with the United States to promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of China-US relations in accordance with the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The US-China Business Council was established in 1973, and is headquartered in Washington. It is a non-profit trade organization whose goal is to promote trade between the United States and China.
