Today, Friday, the competitions of the Second Super Kickboxing Championship, held in Basra Governorate for the period from (18 to 20) of this month, will be completed with the participation of the stars of the first and second Iraqi national teams in order to optimally prepare the champions to enter the midst of the upcoming foreign tournaments.
The media coordinator of the Kickboxing Federation, Ahmed Rahim Nimah, told the (INA): “The best stars of the game in Iraq are participating in the second Super Championship of the game, which is being held in Basra Al-Fayhaa, and whose fights are hosted in the representative hall of the Olympic Committee in Basra.”
The head of the Central Iraqi Federation for Kickboxing Sports, Qasim Al-Wasiti, was quoted as saying, “The Super Kickboxing Championship is the most important tournament in the federation’s curriculum,” indicating that the Competitions Committee has set several points as conditions for participation in the competitions, the most notable of which is emphasizing the presence of members of the national team and those in advanced positions according to the results of the club championship. “Iraq is the last in order to be a strong addition to the Super Events.”
Al-Wasiti pointed out that “his federation aspires, through this tournament, to select the best players for the purpose of representing Iraq in the best possible way in upcoming foreign tournaments such as the Asian and World Championships.”
