The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, said that the detention of health sector workers in the Gaza Strip further deteriorates the dire situation there, and exposes the lives of patients to greater danger.
This came in a post on his official page on the “X” website (formerly Twitter), today, Tuesday, in which he expressed his deep concern about what the organization’s medical teams are exposed to.
Adhanom pointed out that the mission led by the World Health Organization to Al-Ahli (Baptist) Hospital in Gharra was exposed to high risks last Saturday, noting that the inspections and detention of some of its members by the Zionist entity represent a cause for grave concern, especially since it was arrested twice, during Go to the north of the sector and return from it.
