Zelensky-Trump Meeting and Internal Divisions
The meeting took place amidst divisions within the Trump Administration, with Vice President J.D. Vance leading a faction opposed to further support for Ukraine. The Kremlin has reportedly attempted to exploit these divisions.
Russia has continued to pursue its objectives in eastern Ukraine, demanding control of the entire Donetsk region. Moscow has also made unsubstantiated claims of a Ukrainian attack on the residence of Vladimir Putin.
