Zenless Zone Zero will launch its Version 3.1 update, titled The Long Goodbye,
on July 29, 2026, coinciding with the game’s second anniversary. The release introduces two new S-Rank agents, the first-ever Lumiflux attribute character, a permanent game mode, and the debut of the title on Xbox PC with cross-platform support.
Version 3.1 Content and Gameplay Mechanics
The The Long Goodbye
update brings significant mechanical shifts to Zenless Zone Zero, most notably the introduction of the Lumiflux attribute. Remielle Dan, the first character to wield this attribute, functions as an S-Rank Anomaly Agent. According to the sources, her “Attribute Flux” mechanism allows her damage output to synchronize with the attribute of the next Agent in the squad, offering players high flexibility in combat team building.
Joining Remielle in the second half of the version update is Sigrid, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent. Sigrid’s playstyle centers on the Aerial Patrol Spear Form.
Anniversary Rewards and Xbox Launch
To mark the game’s second anniversary, players will be able to select one of five limited S-Rank agents—Jane, Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia—for free, along with that agent’s signature W-Engine. Beyond this, the update includes 1,600 Polychromes and 20 signal searches as login rewards.

The update also marks the platform expansion of the title. The Xbox PC version will launch on July 29, 2026, supporting cross-platform play between console and PC. This follows the game’s established availability on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC platforms via the Hoyoverse and Epic Games Store launchers.
New Permanent Game Mode and Story Progression
The The Long Goodbye
main story expansion returns players to Roscaelifer. The narrative continues from the events of Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn,
as major New Eridu factions arrive on the island. The return of Truvia, the heiress of High Ambitions Corp., whose past connection to the Proxies is marked by a previous incident that left lasting scars. Simultaneously, players will meet Lindverne Sunbringer, the Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department, and her deputy, Sigrid.

Alongside the narrative expansion, the update introduces Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel,
a permanent, seasonal roguelike game mode. The mode tasks players with exploring corrupted zones to collect supplies and build up combat power before extracting within a strict time limit.
Banner Reruns and Customization
The Version 3.1 banner structure introduces a new system for reruns. The first half features the S-Rank Ether Anomaly Agent Aria. The second half introduces an Exclusive Rescreening
channel, which allows players to select from three specific S-Rank agents: Dialyn, Ukinami Yuzuha, and Asaba Harumasa. According to the sources, accumulated signal search data carries over for these rerun channels, providing more predictability for players targeting specific characters.
