A 44-year-old man was killed and five others were injured after their vehicle lost control and plunged into a 3-meter deep ravine on Jalan Tapah-Cameron Highlands near Batu 21 in Tapah, Malaysia.
Details of the Tapah Car Accident
The incident occurred at 8:40 p.m. on April 23. Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, the Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations, stated that the driver was found trapped and unconscious inside the vehicle.
Health Ministry personnel pronounced the driver dead after he was recovered from the wreckage via a stretcher. The deceased’s body has been handed over to the police for further action.
Victims and Recovery
Five other passengers survived the crash, including a 48-year-old woman and four children ranging in age from six to 19. Those injured were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Mr. Sabarodzi noted that the vehicle landed in a shallow river at the bottom of the ravine.
The passengers were traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands to pay their last respects to a deceased family member.
