The Gulf Cup Federation confirmed today, Tuesday, that the next edition will be held in Kuwait and that Iraq will be chosen as an alternative.
A statement from the Football Association received by the (INA) stated that “the Executive Office of the Arab Gulf Cup Federation held its meeting, today, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, in the presence of the First Vice President of the Iraqi Football Federation, member of the Executive Office of the Gulf Cup Federation, Ali Mighty.”
At its meeting, the Federation confirmed that “the next (26th) edition will be held in the State of Kuwait on its previously announced date, while it decided to choose Iraq as an alternative country in accordance with the Federation’s basic system.”
The statement added, “The meeting discussed holding championships for the federation’s age groups in the coming period.”
