ANC Leadership Condemns Court Action by Tshwane Members

Saturday marks the second day of the ANC’s 12th greater Tshwane regional conference at the Velmore Hotel in Pretoria, where a new leadership structure is expected to be elected.

The conference faced a potential disruption when some ANC members filed a last-minute court application attempting to interdict the event due to unresolved disputes. However, the interdict was ultimately dismissed.

ANC National Executive Committee member Khumbudzo Ntshavheni emphasized the party’s existing mechanisms for resolving internal issues. “Comrades we need to talk, I know the media is here but there are things in the public domain that we cannot run away from. We cannot come from a successful NGC that focus on the renewal of the ANC and we still take each other to court so that a regional conference doesn’t sit. There is organisational processes that are set on resolving our own disputes and we must all live with them,” Ntshavheni said.
