Spanish press reports stated that Barcelona is choosing between two of its defenders in order to sell one of them next summer.
Barcelona intends to bring back its young defender, Shadi Riyad, from Real Betis next summer, after he appeared at a very distinguished level.
According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Barcelona decided to bring Riyad back again next summer, with the activation of the buyback option, for 7 million euros.
Accordingly, the club is choosing between the duo Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen, in order to sell one of them in the coming period.
The newspaper added that Barcelona may resort to the option of selling Christensen, especially in light of the interest of many Premier League teams in including him.
Barcelona signed Christensen, coming from Chelsea, in the summer of 2022, on a free deal.
It is noteworthy that the current value of the Danish Barcelona defender is estimated at approximately 40 million euros.
