Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a warning for potential rainfall and strong winds in Jakarta and surrounding areas on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2025.
Jakarta Rainfall Forecast for Christmas Day
Cloudy weather is expected to cover most of Greater Jakarta on Thursday morning, with drizzles forecast in parts of the Thousand Islands and North Jakarta, according to the BMKG’s daily weather forecast.
From 1:00 p.m. local time, partly cloudy conditions will gradually transition to mostly cloudy skies with light rain expected in parts of Bogor Regency and City, Tangerang Regency, and Bekasi Regency.
Light-intensity rain is likely to fall across the entire Greater Jakarta area from the afternoon into the evening. Moderate to heavy-intensity rain is predicted in parts of Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Bekasi Regency, and Bogor Regency.
Air humidity in the Jabodetabek area is expected to range from 70-92 percent, with temperatures between 24-32 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in Bogor City and Regency will be slightly cooler, ranging from 20-30 degrees Celsius.
